David's Texas Trip

David took a solo trip to Texas to suprise his sister for her birthday! He was very lucky to have wonderful and beautiful weather. His dad also went down for the celebration so Missy was very excited! They hung out, played lots of board games, and of course ate alot! David's mom was even able to join them for a good amount of time over the 5 days he was there. Here is a video of his sister when she realizes he brother is in town for her special day! Enjoy

Momma Missy's purchases....

Daddy Davids choices during our shopping trip..

Ultrasound Results

Yesterday was our 20 week ultrasound! It went well and the tech said that all the organs looked good, she took a ton of pictures of all the organs. She was sending them off to the radiologist for evaluation. We got a few good pics of each baby. They were moving around like crazy this time, I am amazed that I don't have motion sickness from it! Baby A is still measuring 3 or 4 days smaller than Baby B, which they say is just fine. Baby A is weighing in at 9 ounces and Baby B at 11 ounces. The tech was reasonably sure that both babies were GIRLS! We are very excited, and David says that only karma would dictate this! HAHA! We have a few names in mind, they don't have to match perfectly but we definiatly want them to mesh well. We are still looking for bedding sets that we like, and let me tell you if I see another PINK butterfly, ladybug, or flower I might flip out. I mean I am all about pretty things, but I am telling you they really want to shove this pink down our throats. The other interesting news is that the babies are sharing a placenta, so that would indicate that they are identical. There is not sure fire way to tell until after they are born and a DNA test, so we will just have to wait. The doc says since they are the same sex though, chances are definiatly high. My mom says ohh cute little red head girls! David is already talking about polishing his shotgoun!HAHA! Another neat thing that happened at our ultra sound was when David told the tech that we had his ultrasound picture from when he was in utero. The woman responded with you are the first person to ever tell me that. We have been shopping the last few days and have really had a great time, here are some of our purchases!

Doing Alot of Reading

And have come across a few good ideas or quotes. I thought I would share them with you because many of them put my feelings into words, and some of them I think are really cool. Hope you all enjoy. Oh yeah and 1 more week until our next ultrasound, remember to keep us and the babies in your thoughts and prayers. This is a very important appointment, the doctors are going to inspect each organ, and ensure it is developing properly. It will be very neat to see the babies again too!
Some of the cool things I gathered from my reading.

Nine Months in the Life of a Dad

In the fourth week of his wife's pregnancy, he will begin to notice others people's kids, and he will this slow down to respect speed limits.

Before the twenty-fifth week is over, he will fantasize about looking manly while burping his baby.

Toward the end of the thirty-sixth week, he will surf the Web in search of the perfect infant carseat instead of going out drinking with his buddies.

In other words, he will be well on his way to becoming the kind of father who takes his squirming daughter out of her bulky snowsuit before taking off his own coat and hat.

9 Reasons to Have Children
-I want to pass on the best qualities of my mate.
-I need a good excuse for baking chocolate chip cookies.
-I need a good excuse for being broke.
-I love children.
-I love major disruptions.
-I want to give my parents grandchildren.
-I want to give my in-laws a chance to treat me as their child.
-I want to be the mother of my husbands children.
-My husband is ready to learn how to blow someone else's nose.

I want to make sure we give our children a childhood worth remembering!

Don't argue with your children, so instead of saying "because I said so" , say because you are my best friend on earth.

Be there-on time! It is the most sacred rule of parenting.

Men's genes make mothers out of women.

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ~ Elizabeth Stone

The babies are growing!

Babies R Us

Yesterday we went on our second trip we will call it the "baby stuff learning experience part TWO". We are trying to educate ourselves as much as we possibly can before we decide what products we would like to purchase. We have done most of the research online, but of course it helps when you can go in and acutally touch something, and even try to operate it. Well that is where we seem to struggle! We have found one thing that we can operate ourselves, it was a high chair. It was simple, now putting an infant carrier into the stroller properly mmm yeah not so easy for us. Oh and folding down a stroller takes a good amount of thought, and a little bit of time. We found an awesome pack n play it has orange in it, and it has a little box on it that plays music and an IPOD can hook up to it. We were playing with the pack n play, and trying to fold it down and put it back together, just to see how it worked of course. We got it about half way down and then realized that we didn't take some of the pieces out of it, so it wasn't going to go all the way down. We figured we had the just of it, so it was time to put the pack n play back together, that was a little challenging for us,we could not get it together! Finally David got it and we were lifting it back up onto the shelf then all of a sudden we hear this voice say "its a pain in the butt". We were looking over our shoulders trying to figure it out and then we took another look at the pack n play. It has button that records voices. Somehow David accidently recorded himself and then accidently played it back. We pushed it 10 more times and stood in the aisle cracking up, then an older couple walked by and said you guys are having way too much fun! It was halarious! We really like that pack n play and we will probably decide it is the one we want, but what a great story. We have been having a great time learning about all of this baby stuff. We also have decided we SO don't want pink bedding if we have a girl, there is just way too much of it, we like purple WAY better! It was a fun night, and I can't wait to make more fun memories with my husband!
