All along the pregnancy route..

Things have been going really well lately. I have been feeling great! A couple of exciting thing happened over the last 2 weeks or so. The babies are beginning to hear and recognize voices and sounds. I have been talking to them for a while now, but I am starting to play them music. Currently I think they need to be introduced to Journey, personally I think it will make them feel great! Also they got to go on a plane ride to TEXAS for the first time. The heard the voices of their grandparents, their Uncle Ben, and alot of our friends. I went to suprise Sabrina with a bridal shower, and bachelorette party. It went well, and I think she was very happy. While I was in Texas I did something so exciting, I bought our first "babies thing"! Our diaper bag! It is so cute, it is the turqouise and brown Vera Bradley. It was on major sale and I had to have it! I think it will be perfect for the two of them. David was not able to come to Texas with us, but it was a beautiful time, I got to eat my moms home cooking and it was 73 degrees on Friday! I loved it and I miss it there alot! Now for the most exciting news yet! I can feel the babies moving! It is a neat feeling, like a rolling pin going all over my insides. It started late last week! They tend to move around in the late afternoon for a bit everyday, and yesterday they were the most active by far. Overall things are going really well, and we are getting even more excited as the babies continue to grow. We have our next appointment on Feb 13th, and we can't wait! Love to All... Pictures coming soon!

The Belly so Far

I am just going to speed you all up on the last 16 weeks or so of our lives!
We found out on Oct. 30th that we were expecting a little baby! Around that time I was approx 6 weeks pregnant. Of course we were thrilled! I had my first doctors appt in my 8th week, during the apt, the doctor did normal exams and determined that the due date would be July 4th, 2009! We got to hear the heartbeat at this apt, David was there too, it was really exciting! At 10 weeks I fell down our stairs so I had an impromptu apt, just to check everything out, I again heard the heartbeat and felt very relieved, no matter how sore I was. At 12 weeks we had our first ultrasound, it was for genetic testing. The testing went well it seems that we don't have anything to worry about in that department. The greatest thing we saw at the ultrasound was TWO BABIES! As soon as we saw them we were in shock! It was so neat to see them, they had big heads, and they both had their left hands up by their face! Wonder if they are going to take after their mom my?! As soon as our appt was over we called our families to tell them the news. We got great responses such as, "Oh shit the bed", "David needs to find a job in Texas right now", Oh well that means I get one", "Has David picked himself up off the floor yet?" and "I thought she looked a little big at 10 weeks". A day later we were able to tell Grandma Many and the rest of the family the "twin" news. We got Grandma on video and it was so cool! Check her out in our video postings. She had told me at Thanksgiving she thought I was having twins! How nuts is that? On Christmas we opened gifts at Ernie and Kim's and we had a great time with them. We got a few really cute things for the babies from the Castillo Crew, they were so sweet to think of their new cousins, and niece and or nephew. Since Christmas things have gone well, I have been feeling soo much better as far as nausea is concerned, I have gotten a few headaches here and there, but nothing major. My biggest change has been the sprout of a few and I am sure more to come stretch marks, and then this feeling of my heart beating out of my chest. The doctors says this is normal for pregnancy, it just feels strange inside my body, so it tends to frustrate me a little bit. At my 16 week appt I heard the heartbeat(s). I can only hear one, but the doc says there are two, and that they are beating at similiar rates. I wonder if they are going to be the same sex or not?! Dr Meyer was my doctor at this appointment and he measured my belly at 19 weeks, he says that twin pregnancies usually measure 4 weeks ahead, so my belly is doing pretty good! I was able to schedule our next ultrasound for 20 weeks, we cannot wait to see the babies again! This ultrasound is to check all of their body parts, and make sure their organs are all developing normally. It is a very serious appointment so keep our babies growth and health in your prayers! David is getting more and more into touching my tummy, it is neat that he wants to do this. Sometimes it catches me off guard, him just rubbing on my belly like I am Buddah. I am sure I will get used to it the bigger I get. Yesterday we got a very nice gift from my mom and dad.It is a nice wooden rocking chair. It looks very similar to the one my mom used with me, Becca, and Ben. We like it alot, and we are happy with the wood color, hopefully it won't be too hard to match the cribs to. It is so neat to have our first big item for the babies! Until next time...... Much Love

Our Intro

We were both living in San Antonio, Texas and we met working at TGI Fridays,it was a fun time in our lives.I was in school and he was just out of the Army. I trained him to be a waiter, at that time we were just accquaintances. About 6 months later and a blue cheese incident, we started spending time together and having some really great conversations. We lent each other an open ear in a much needed time for both of us. After a few weeks of bonding and innocence feelings started making ther debut and we started dating. Our first real date was on Halloween,we went to a Haunted House with Sabrina,Howie, and Jess. After Christmas we took things easy and by June I was busting my butt to "win him over". By mid July he accepted my offers and we took a week long vacation down to the coast, and camping in the hill country with his family. It was an amazing time. Soon after that we became inseperable and we moved in together. We had a tiny apartment and went to breakfast at Jim's every Sunday. We would spend mornings and nights on our tiny balcony looking at the stars, and talking about our the rest of our lives. We adopted our two kitties Meg and Precious, and they became our little girls. In 2005 we moved to the suburbs of Chicago. David started going to school to get his bachelors, and was working for an online university. After a few months he landed his dream job as a technology specialist. Missy worked in a few schools for children with special needs. On March 17th 2007 (St. Patty's Day), we were engaged! It was on a ship out in the middle of Lake Michigan on the dance floor while Miles Davis was playing. We planned an April 2008 wedding in Austin, Texas. Before our wedding we moved out to Cary, Il to a house that gave us river access. We love it here! Our basement does flood often though. After our move, Missy landed a job with the local school district, and is very happy! Our wedding was beautiful and amazing. We had a great time with all of our family and friends. In July we took a "honeycation" to Padre Island, Texas. We stayed at Grandma's beach house, and visited with both of our families. We took a fishing charter by ourselves and caught a ton of trout! David even caught one red fish! In September David graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology. Afterwards we took a celebration vacation road trip to the Catskill Mountains, The Berkshires, and Niagara Falls. We also were able to attend Missy's cousin Nicole's wedding. The trip was beautiful and the road trip was so fun! It was an experience we got to check off of our always wanted to do list. In October David turned 30! The Thompson's came to town for a visit, and we had a great time! Five days after they left we learned that we were expecting a baby, and that is where this blog will begin!
