The Girls

No not the "girls" Miranda refers to!
Our little ladies, or so we thought! THese girls fart more than I thought possible, throughout the night I can hear them tooting away on the baby moniter. I sometimes try and guess who it was, although there is no possible way for me to know. Jacey has now moved into size 1 diapers! I cannot believe that she is getting so big, Julianna is not far behind her but the 1's are still a little big around her legs, I am sure she will be there soon. They are both still wearing newborn size clothes, and most things seem to fit them perfectly. Target brand (Circo) seems to run big, but they are able to wear those clothes. I still cannot believe that they are about to be 3 months old. They are doing such amazing things right now, really smiling and starting to coo, they hold their own heads up and love to be up and walking around. THey definiatly know who I am, and they absolutley love seeing their daddy, sometimes when he approaches them they get huge grins on their faces. They are also such happy morning babies, just like their momma! They both really enjoy bathtime and Jacey has figured out if she kicks her legs the water splashes and she gets so excited! Pictures to come soon!

A Fun Weekend

This weekend The Castillo's were here from Texas! They drove up from Indy with Kim (nanny) and Ernie (gampa) in a 12 passanger van, that became known as the "tank"! On Friday when they arrived we set up a tent and screen house and then David cooked burgers on the grill for everyone, we had 15 burgers on at one time, I think it might have taken him back to the days of Fridays (haha) Connor,Della,Miranda and Roel all got to meet the babies for the first time, and they all held them as quickly as they could! We had a good night around the firepit and the kids slept outside in the tent! On Sat. we woke up very early and made the hour drive to Wisconsin to go to the Jelly Belly tour and factory, the kids had fun and we bought alot of Jelly Bellies! After that we drove to the beach of Lake Michigan on the Wisconsin border, the kiddos were very happy to get their feet wet!Unfortunatley the babies stayed in the "tank" because they needed to eat,so no beach for them. We drove home from the beach to lounge and eat lunchmeat sandwiches before we made the trek to Woodfield Mall, for the lego store, LUSH, and Chicago souveniers. By then we were hungry again so we stopped at Portillos for Chicago hot dogs! Satuday night was eventful with a trip to the ER because Julianna hit her head on our bathtub, she had a CT scan and all is well with her just a bit fussy. Of course David and I have never been so scared in our lives, it is crazy how it feels to love someone so much especially since we have only known here for 2months! On Sunday we slept in and went to Chicago's Brookfield Zoo for Davids company picnic. We luckily got there just in the knick of time for the lunch part. We had burgers, hotdogs and fried chicken along with some yummy ice cream! Of course we don't do things calmly so we did the zoo in our poncho's with alot of rain! Fortunatley the kiddos had alot of fun, and we were able to keep the babies dry! Sunday night we ordered Chicago pizza and devoured it up! It was a really fun weekend, and we are so happy that Julianna and Jacey got to meet their cousins, tio and see their Auntie "M", nanny and gampa!

We are home!

Well we had a wonderful trip to Indy and we are finally back! We got to do alot of fun stuff together! The trip began with the girls 2 month well baby check up! I will post more about that later though! The girls did pretty good with the car ride, we only had to stop once for a feeding! After we got to Indy the girls spent a quiet evening with daddy and gampa, they got baths and snuggled in for the night in their new OWL pack n play! We have a cute video of them loving the mobile! On Sat we headed down to Mooresville and made it to the family reunion where the girls got to meet their grandpa (my dad) for the first time! It was awesome, my dad was so happy, his smile was amazing! The girls were able to meet alot of the extended family, and they behaved very well all day long! THat night we went a bonfire at Lora's house to celebreate her graduation from nursing school! The girls got to meet the 6-pack! Aunt Crissy,Cristi, and Vickie couldn't get enough of them, they were held the entire time! On Sunday we met my mom and dad for a yummy lunch at Gray's and then daddy had to leave to come back home for his work week. The girls and I went onto Jimmy and Robins (my god parents) we hung out there all day long, and it was so much fun to see the girls with them and my parents! Jimmy called himself their "uncle-grandpa" what that is, he also remembered their names by calling them Mayor Juliannie and of course Jacey Pennies! That sums up our first weekend here are some pictures too!
